Ricky Tucker

Biography

Ricky Tucker was born in Westchester County, New York to parents Richard and Denise Tucker and was raised between New York and Florida.

Ricky Tucker is a seasoned singer with great charm, personality and has a voice and likeness that has been compared to the late Michael Jackson. He has the passion and soul power of Aretha Franklin, and the pretty boy looks of… RICKY, for which there is no comparison.

Ricky was destined for stardom as he began his career in entertainment as a baby model. By the age of 7 he was boasting not only his good looks, but also his stellar singing abilities in a variety of forums including everything from family reunions, to church performances and school plays.

Ricky’s career as a child star was solidified in 1997 when he participated in a casting call at the Disney House of Blues where he caught the attention Ms.  Sylvia St. James while standing in line with nearly 100 other eager child star “wannabes”.  After showing off his vocal abilities singing “This Little Light of Mine”, Ricky signed a 4 year contract to sing for the House of Blues in downtown Disney at the tender age of 9 years old.

Through Ricky’s travels with the House of Blues, talent executives noticed him across the country.  Ricky was having the time of his life performing with house of blues and other small gigs such as singing the national anthems at the Orlando Magic and Solar Bears Hockey games when the offers started rolling in.

While still under contract with the HOB, the next 4 years were jam packed with performances including: The World Festival of Sacred Music October 1999 in Los Angeles, California at The Carpenters Theater. Orlando Community Affairs-Orlando, Martin Luther King Breakfast, All Star Hockey Game in Orlando, Magic vs. Heat basketball game, Magic vs. Dallas basketball game, Atlanta Braves baseball-Disney Wide World of Sports, Opening of Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney, Grand Rapids Rays Inaugural Arena Football in Grand Rapids, MI, Tampa Bay Devil Rays-Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg, FL. Honda Elite 4 Holiday Classic-Disney Wide World of Sports, Orlando Solar Bears, Georgia Bulldogs basketball-Georgia, Mable Butler Dedication Ceremony-Orlando, South Carolina State Jazz Ensemble-Orlando, Mayors Gala-UNCF for Mayor Glenda Hood, NFL Quarterback Challenge-Orlando, NCCJ Walk-A-Thon, Bo Outlaw's Sports Challenge-Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Inaugural Ball and Gala for Governor Jeb Bush and Lieutenant Governor Frank Brogan in Tampa, Florida and much much more.

After some very busy and very lucrative years, Ricky and his mom decided that it was in his best interest to take a moment to breathe, live, travel, and enjoy life as a child.  His 10 plus year hiatus was certainly not due to a lack of industry interest or offers.  His mom did not want him to be the kid that looked back on his life, just to say, “I never had a childhood”.  He has now been blessed with a sense of a balanced childhood and life experiences that feed his music.  That said, Music never left his soul, Ricky lives for music and embodies all the attributes of a super star.

Ricky is back, so hold on to your seats… With Ricky, you are sure to sing along, dance, close your eyes (sway back and forth) and get lost in his infectious, sultry voice.

Now in his late 20's, he enjoy's international travel, Occasionally belting out a song for a select few and living the dream from America to The French Riviera.
